Minimally invasive spine (MIS) surgery

Minimally invasive spine surgery is the use of cutting edge technology to provide maximal benefit while minimizing pain and complications of surgery. It involves the use of specialized equipment to perform spinal surgery through small (<1 inch) incisions.

MISS has numerous benefits, including less pain, less blood loss, lower infection risk, faster recovery, and smaller scars. These procedures are often performed on an outpatient basis, with no need for a hospital stay.

Spine Conditions

Dr. Steinhaus will work with you to determine the cause of your pain and least invasive treatment strategy. His goal is to get you back to doing what you love, and to avoid surgery when possible.

When surgery is necessary, he focuses on minimally invasive, motion-preserving techniques which allow for less pain and faster recovery.

Spine Treatments

Prior to considering surgery, Dr. Steinhaus typically recommends nonoperative treatments such as physical therapy, medications, injections, and other modalities to improve symptoms without surgery.

Should you require surgery, Dr. Steinhaus has trained extensively to perform cutting-edge techniques to get you back to doing what you love as quickly as possible.
